I'm Plinio Diouf — a payments professional based in Austin, Texas.

I've spent the last seven years building and scaling payment infrastructure across Latin America, Africa, and Europe — most recently as co-founder and COO of Betaramps, a UK-based payments company where I launched cross-border rails in 31 countries and automated crypto transaction flows reaching $1M+ in annual TPV.

Before that, I worked on the ground at EBANX in Brazil and Cellulant in Kenya, where I learned how much of payments is really about translating messy merchant needs into product decisions that hold up under regulation, FX volatility, and go-to-market pressure.

I'm currently finishing my MS in Technology Commercialization at UT Austin (expected May 2026) and looking for product, partnerships, or customer success roles where I can bring that operator's lens to a bigger stage.

Led product development and launched a wallet infrastructure that replaced manual crypto transfers, automating 95% of transactions and scaling the platform to $1M annual TPV. Expanded payment rails to 31 countries — including a 2-week launch sprint in Norway that cut fees 40% and drove 4x MoM TPV growth. Built the KPI dashboards (DBeaver, JetAdmin) that made the team data-driven.

Proposed USDT/NGN liquidity swaps to mitigate currency risk and advised against an onboarding that would have cost three months of engineering bandwidth.
